Unfortunately the lights on our Tree of Remembrance were damaged following the storm on Saturday night and are currently not working. We are desperately trying to remedy the situation but as you can appreciate trying to identify the break in the cable and affecting a repair given that the tree is 21 feet tall is proving to be a challenge. The Lions Tree of Remembrance 2024 situated in the front of Rook Lane chapel was officially switched on, on the 29th November. A Carol Service and Blessing of the Tree was conducted by the Rev Jill Warren and the Music was supplied by members of Frome Town Band. The Tree and the Lights are there to remember loved ones or memorable causes at this special time of year and donations made to the Lions are used to help good causes in and around Frome.A Memorial Board with the names of loved ones or memorable causes will be displayed at the entrance to Rook Lane Chapel.Your donations this year will be used by the Lions to primarily support a Prostate Cancer screening program to be held in March next year and other local charities and good causes.
