Sponsored Swim – 2023

Since the early 1980’s the Lions Club have organised an annual Sponsored Swim, supported by Aggregate Industries. The event is on agian this year – on Sunday March 19th at the Leisure Centre from 3pm.

Schools, Clubs, Families or just friends from down the pub can enter a team and there are trophies awarded for most laps, most money raised etc.

Proceeds are split 50/50 between whatever charity or club your team wants to raise funds for, and a Lions nomintaed charity – which this year is Frome-based Active & In Touch.

Each team of 6 swimmers will swim two lengths at a time in a relay format  for 25 minutes in total. 

A widths option is available for younger or less able swimmers. 

Plus there are trophies to be won for most laps and most money raised – and each swimmer aged 11 & under gets a medal for taking part!
