Sporting Dinner

We hold a Sporting Dinner every spring in the Walled Garden at Orchardleigh House. In 2020 our guest was legendary BBC rugby commentator Ian Robertson and over 220 guests were present to hear him talk about his time as both a player and latterly commentator and raise over £13,000 in the process.
The charity supported by the event was “Hope for Tomorrow” who are the largest provider of mobile cancer care in England. They work closely with NHS trusts to provide Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCUs) which travel into the heart of local, often remote communities.

Past speakers have included Graham Gooch, David Flatman, Nigel Owens, Bill Beaumont, Dennis Taylor and John Conteh and charities supported include the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Dorothy House and MacMillan Nurses.
