2017 Sporting Dinner

Our chosen Charity for the event 2017 is MacMillan Nurses.

Details of the Dinner are as follows:

Date: Thursday 19th January 2017

Venue: The Orangery in the Walled Garden, Orchardleigh House, near Frome, by kind permission of Mr Christopher Vincent

Format: Black Tie Dinner, speaker, Charity auction and raffle

Timing: 7.15 pm for 7.45 prompt start. Carriages 11.30 pm

Speaker: Former England Grand-Slam winning Rugby Captain Bill Beaumont CBE, Chairman of the Rugby Football Union and Chairman of World Rugby

Tickets: £60 per head or tables of 8 for £480 or tables of 9 for £540.

As always this event represents an excellent opportunity to entertain business contacts and clients as well as friends, while raising money for a very worthwhile cause.

For those who wish, there may also be an opportunity to play the adjoining golf course either on the day of or the day after the Dinner.

Thanks to those who have supported this event, previous Dinners have raised in excess of £5,000 a year and supported very worthwhile causes including MacMillan Nurses, Wessex Counselling, Dorothy House and Freewheelers EVS; past speakers have included Graham Gooch, David Flatman, Geoff Miller, Matt le Tissier, Nigel Owens and John Conteh.

The 2014 Dinner helped Wessex Counselling to raise over £19,000 towards their counselling project for the young people of Frome, while last year the generosity of our guests enabled us to present a cheque for £10,000 to the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.
