Sporting Dinner – 2022

The Sporting Dinner in 2022 featured Katy Daley-MacLean MBE as our guest speaker, who is renowned as the winning captain from the England Womens Rugby Team who won the World Cup in 2015. Katy is now Head of Performance at Sale Sharks. The charities  supported this year were Dorothy House and Childrens Hospice South West. 

The event was well attended with nearly two hundred guests enjoying a superb four course meal, & an informative talk by Katy. There followed an auction of lots & raffle, & the Lions were delighted to split the profit from the evening equally, meaning the two charities received £5500 each.

It was fantastic to get back to our annual dinners which were obviously impacted by the Pandemic, & be able to raise much needed funds for deserving causes.
