Frome Lions Club 2019

Frome Lions enter their 52nd year

Lions have been supporting Frome and its surrounding villages for over 50 years. The Club was started informally in September 1966 and was officially Chartered in March 1967. An Anniversary Dinner was held last year to celebrate Fifty years of supporting the local community.

The 2019 Sponsored Swim took place on Sunday 24th March at the Frome Leisure Centre Pool.

The 2019 Sporting Dinner for Ladies and Gentlemen in January was a resounding success and raised £9,000 for Dorothy House services for young people who have suffered a bereavement.. The Guest Speaker was Mr Ron Atkinson. Many thanks to all who supported us.

The 2019 Lions Golf Day at Orchardleigh Golf Course was on Friday 17th May, & raised £5000 for Nova Sports and Coaching.

We were in the Blue House Gardens recently as we provided refreshments as part of the Frome Festival.

Our annual Fete took place in Victoria Park on Saturday 8th June. It was a popular event enjoyed by many people and contributed to our Lions charity funds.
